A major shake-up is underway in one of New Orleans’ most popular Mardi Gras krewes.
The Krewe of Muses has a new captain.
WDSU spoke with Staci Rosenberg last night. Her new title is founder and captain emerita.
In an email to members of the krewe, Rosenberg wrote, “When I started our krewe in 2000, I could never have imagined what it has become today. I am so proud of the many firsts we created, including being the first women’s krewe to parade at night. It is now time for a change.”
Dionne Randolph has taken over as captain, handling day-to-day responsibilities.
Randolph wrote, “What an incredible honor. Here’s to glitter and high heels.”
Stay with WDSU on this developing story.
