The New Orleans Police Department has launched a death investigation in Gentilly after a skeleton was found in a duffel bag.
According to the NOPD, the investigation began Tuesday around 12:35 p.m.
Officers responded to a report of a duffle bag in a sewer at the intersection of Annette Street and Benefit Street.
Police say the bag contained a skeleton.
No other information was provided on the discovery of the remains.
