Three French Quarter Easter parades and a second line will bring massive crowds to New Orleans.
New Orleans police said French Quarter parade parking restrictions begin at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, with no parking along the route for the Historic French Quarter Easter Parade, which begins at 9:45 a.m., followed by the Chris Owens Parade at 1 p.m. and the Official Gay Easter Parade at 4:30 p.m.
Police said there is no parking along parade routes two hours before each parade and during the events. Vehicles found on the parade route or in restricted areas will be towed.
Police said drivers can expect traffic delays and road closures, and they are encouraged to plan alternate routes and follow officers’ directions at all times.
NOPD encouraged everyone to enjoy the festivities safely and leave weapons at home. Be mindful of your surroundings. If you see something, say something and call 911.
