A 19-year-old former Louisiana National Guardsman has been arrested and accused in a child sex abuse investigation.
According to Attorney General Liz Murrill, Lux Arlen Thomas, 19, was arrested and is facing multiple charges involving child sex abuse.
Thomas was first arrested back in January and is facing multiple counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with juveniles, and obstruction of justice.
He was arrested again on April 1 and is facing additional charges of production of child sexual abuse material and possession of child sexual abuse material.
Thomas was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail. No information was made available on his bond.
Thomas was on orders with the Louisiana National Guard in a position assigned to HSI Lafayette.The
Louisiana National Guard was alerted to the investigation and immediately relieved Thomas of his duties when the charges came to light back in January.
The Louisiana National Guard was fully cooperative during the investigation, according to Murrill’s office.
