The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a deadly shooting in Algiers.
Police say two men were shot on Socrates Street and Brooklyn Avenue Monday morning.
According to police, a group of men was approached by another group of men and a fight happened. The first group of men got into a car to leave when the other group fired shots, striking the two victims.
Both were taken to the hospital, where one of the men died from his injuries.
The other victim is being treated at the hospital.
