Man shot in the chest in Central City

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Saturday in Central City.

Police say it happened on South Claiborne Avenue near Josephine Street around 11:45 p.m.

NOPD says the man was shot in the chest and was transported to the hospital by EMS. He is now in stable condition.
