The Kenner Police Department has announced it will crack down on drivers operating without valid liability insurance.
According to Chief Keith Conley, any investigation that reveals a driver is operating a car on a public roadway or highway without statutorily imposed liability insurance will be towed and impounded.
The car will not be released unless proper proof of insurance is acquired and provided.
If it is a car registered in Louisiana, the license plate will be seized and turned into the Department of Motor Vehicles.
“Driving without insurance is a risk our community should not have to bear. If you choose to operate a car illegally, you should expect consequences. Our officers are committed to enforcing the law and protecting the people of Kenner,” said Chief Conley.
