A boil water advisory is issued for most of the East Bank of New Orleans after a water main break Uptown.
According to Sewerage and Water Board, the advisory impacts Uptown, the CBD, French Quarter, 9th Ward, Mid City, and Gentilly, as well as two separate areas in New Orleans East.
The water has been turned off, and water is receding from the street.
New Orleans city leaders ask you to avoid S. Carrollton Avenue, Panola Street, Burdette Street, S. Claiborne Avenue, and Hickory Street.
Stay with WDSU for updates.
