Heads up! With the potential of a few strong storms late Saturday-Sunday, we’ve placed WDSU First Warning Weather Impact Days for the weekend.
In the short term, there is a slim chance for a few spotty showers in the afternoon.
High resolution models are trying to show the possibility of a sea breeze which could lead to showers over the River Parishes.
Lows tonight drop again to the mid to upper 60s.
As we get to Friday, there is also a slight chance for seeing a couple of showers. Most of these will be scattered and a lot of us may not see anything.
Highs Friday are also back in the low 80s.
There are a couple of scattered showers for Saturday, but greater chances are expected Sunday. The Storm Prediction Center has placed a Marginal Risk, Level 1 out of 5, for a few strong storms Saturday-Sunday.
Rain chances increase in the late afternoon/evening on Saturday and could have an impact on the St. Patrick’s Day parades in both Slidell and Gretna. The timing and details will still need to be worked out.
Another round of rain is expected Wednesday and Thursday next week.
