New Orleans police are investigating a double homicide in the Tulane-Gravier neighborhood.
According to police, the shooting happened in the 100 block of North Johnson Street just before 3:30 p.m.
Police found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
NOPD first reported one of the victims was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
After further investigation, officers are now reporting that the New Orleans EMS has confirmed both victims were dead at the scene.
According to police, a quantity of apparent illegal drugs was found at the scene.
The coroner’s office will confirm the exact causes of death after the completion of the autopsies, and will release the identities of the victims once the families have been notified.
