After a chilly start Sunday, it will be a fairly pleasant afternoon, although clouds will be increasing for us by the late morning and afternoon. Our high temperature will struggle to get into the low 70s, so it will feel a bit cool throughout the morning.
An upper-level disturbance will keep skies partly to mostly cloudy for the beginning portion of the week, but a warming trend should gradually develop over the next few days. High temperatures will likely be in the low 70s Monday, then in the middle 70s Tuesday, then in the upper 70s by Wednesday. On Thursday, a cold front will be moving through very early in the day, and this will be the strongest cold front of the season.
Mornings will likely get into the 40s by the end of the week on the South Shore and be in the 30s on the North Shore by Friday and Saturday. However, skies will clear quickly behind this front, and sunshine should be abundant if we get to the end of the week.
We now have just over three weeks to go on hurricane season, and the tropics remain quiet, and should stay quiet for the next seven days.
