Southeast Louisiana warms to 80 to 86 degrees Thursday afternoon. Expect plenty of sunshine, light winds and less humidity on both sides of Lake Pontchartrain.
A chilly night on the Northshore
If you’re heading out early Friday, which side of the lake you wake up on will make a difference. Under mostly clear skies, lows will drop to 46 to 48 degrees on the Northshore. The Southshore stays milder at 59 to 62 degrees.
Friday afternoon warms back up to 78 to 81 degrees. A weak cold front brings a few more clouds and a small chance of a shower near the coast. Most of southeast Louisiana will stay dry.
Beignet Fest and Po-Boy Fest forecast
Saturday looks mostly sunny for Beignet Fest, with afternoon temperatures in the mid-70s. A stronger cold front brings a chill by Sunday morning, with 40s on the Northshore and 50s around New Orleans.
Bring a light jacket if you’re heading to Po-Boy Fest on Sunday. Even in the afternoon, temperatures will only reach the upper 60s. Expect a mix of sun and clouds. A passing shower is possible, but most of the day looks dry.
