Voting machines were inspected and delivered to more than 100 polling sites across New Orleans Monday as preparations for Election Day continue.
Voters are reminded to bring a driver’s license or photo ID with a signature to cast their ballot.
They must report to their assigned polling location, which may differ from early voting sites.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and anyone in line by 8 p.m. will still be able to vote.
The ballot includes several U.S. Senate and House of Representatives races, a public service commissioner race, local races, and amendments.
The clerk of court for Orleans Parish said preparations have gone smoothly, aided by an influx of poll workers.
“Yes, we go through an extensive process to train our poll commissioners, which starts months ahead, and we also trained new poll commissioners this cycle, always recruiting for more,” said Clerk of Court Chelsey Napoleon.
Napoleon said that a few polling sites in Orleans Parish have been changed, and encouraged voters to double-check their polling location before heading to vote Tuesday.
