The Louisiana State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Tickfaw.
The crash happened on Louisiana Highway 1064 at Greco Road in Tangipahoa Parish around 5 p.m. Sunday.
A 17-year-old from Killian died in the crash.
According to state police, a 2009 Kia Optima was driving north on Greco Road, approaching LA 1064. At the same time, a 2021 GMC Sierra was driving west on LA 1064.
State police said the Kia drove through a stop sign and entered the intersection directly into the path of the GMC and was struck on its passenger side.
The driver of the Kia, who was unrestrained, was ejected and later died at a hospital from their injuries.
The driver of the GMC, who was also unrestrained, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
A passenger in the GMC suffered minor injuries.
