The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened in the Bywater.
The incident happened around 3:15 a.m. in the area of France Street and North Galvez Street.
Police say the victim stated he was sitting inside his car, attempting to contact his friend, when a suspect approached his car and asked if he knew a specific woman.
When the victim told the suspect he didn’t know the woman, the suspect shot his gun three times, hitting the victim once in the left shoulder before leaving the location.
The victim arrived at the hospital via private conveyance.
