Who Dat nation has gone marching into France and so have some of their favorite retailers.
Fleurty Girl is building a pop-up in Paris, so fans there can snag the beloved shirts.
“Everyone in New Orleans has heard laissez les bons temps rouler, so I knew that they would understand this French saying,” Fleurty Girl owner Lauren Haydel said while showing the T-shirt she’s selling in Paris for the Saints and Steelers matchup.
“As soon as they announced the game, I knew that Fleurty Girl had to be there. So, I was on a mission to find a place to sell some T-shirts,” Haydel said.
The venue she found was a touchdown. There’s actually a Saints bar in Paris’ Latin Quarter, which is where Lauren is setting up shop. The bar’s logo is incorporated on the back of the tee.
“I reached out to them, and it turns out the owner was like, ‘I love Fleurty Girl.’ He comes to New Orleans several times a year because his wife is from Kenner. And I’m like, ‘I’m from Kenner.’ So he was like of course you can pop up, so it just worked out, it was magic,” Haydel said.
It also worked out that she’s found a printer to make the shirts in Paris. Haydel will be overseeing the printing process there.
“We had to get them printed in Paris because we can’t just bring the shirts to Paris, we have to get them produced there, so that was a big challenge, but we got it done, and now it’s time,” she said.
If you’re not overseas – it’s not a missed catch! The T-shirt is also available here at home.
“I know not everybody can be there, so what I really wanted was to just bring something here in New Orleans that was also in Paris, so that our customers who couldn’t be there can feel like a part of it,” said Haydel.
If you are in France or have a loved one who is, Fleurty Girl posted that they’ll be set up at the New Orleans Saints bar in Paris from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Paris time.
