The Jefferson Parish community is grieving the loss of a beloved business owner in Gretna.
Jimmy Cho, the owner of Banana Blossom, died this week.
Several restaurants are planning a fundraiser in his memory.
The restaurant posted on Facebook, calling Cho “a beloved friend, talented chef, and the heart and soul behind Banana Blossom.”
Banana Blossom will remain closed until further notice, and no reopening date has been announced.
In memory of Cho, multiple restaurants, including Zasu, Chada, and Tuk Tuk Thai, will serve one of his dishes Thursday.
All proceeds from the event will go toward his funeral.
