The Sewerage and Water Board has canceled a boil water advisory for the Memorial Park neighborhood in Algiers.
The advisory was issued due to a drop in water pressure while contractors were replacing a 16-inch water valve.
SWBNO says the water pressure in the area will remain lower than normal until contractors are able to replace the 16-inch water valve.
The affected areas included:
- Gen DeGaulle from Westbank Expressway to Texas Drive
- Texas Drive from Gen DeGaulle to Parish Line
Water samples from across the area have tested negative for contamination.
