A big festival weekend in New Orleans with Oktoberfest, Fried Chicken Fest, and Gentilly Fest!
Here’s what you need to know:
Oktoberfest:
The Deutsches Haus’ annual Oktoberfest kicks off Friday in Bayou St. John.
At the festival, you can enjoy all things German, including brats, sauerkraut, big Bavarian-style pretzels, German desserts and beer.
Festivalgoers can choose from more than 20 German beers, nine wines and more than 20 schnapps.
Oktoberfest is from Oct. 9-10, 16-17, and 23-24 from 4 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Friday and 1 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Tickets are $10 at the gate and children under 12 get in for free.

Fried Chicken Fest:
Fried Chicken Fest is celebrating 10 years this weekend.
The festival was scheduled for Oct. 2 through the 4th, but due to severe weather, it was rescheduled for Friday, Oct. 9 through the 11.
This year, the festival will include many musical lineups such as 2 Chainz, Ying Yang Twins, Keri Hilson, A-Trak, Webbie, Big Freedia with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra (LPO), Marc Broussard, Shamarr Allen, and dozens of additional local and regional performers.

Gentilly Fest:
Gentilly Fest is celebrating all things “Gentilly” with live music, food, and arts and crafts.
The festival will be held on Friday, Oct. 9 through the 11.
On Friday, the festival runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday, the festival starts at 12 p.m.
The festival is free to the public.
