The City of New Orleans announced a new website Thursday to help citizens understand impacts from any property tax roll forward in 2027.
The website helps residents learn about their property tax bills as the Council considers a potential roll forward of the millages.
According to a news release issued by the city, the calculator can be customized for any parcel in New Orleans and allows users to explore different combinations of changes to millage rates, all of which are under consideration through the next several weeks by the council.
Users can also see the per month and per year costs for any of the roll forward combinations, while also learning about the impact on the City’s budget and understanding better what services the millages support, according to the city.
