The U.S. military is holding a training exercise in New Orleans this week, which is expected to bring increased activity to the area.
The New Orleans Police Department said its Special Weapons and Tactics team will be supporting the training.
NOPD said residents may see helicopters flying low and hear loud noises or sounds resembling explosions.
The department did not provide a specific location for the training, which is scheduled to run through Saturday.
