A man has been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in the Lower 9th Ward.
New Orleans police say the incident happened at a business in the 5000 block of North Claiborne Street around 11:49 a.m. on Saturday.
According to police, the suspect entered the business dressed in all black and wearing a ski mask.
He then pointed a gun at the cashier and demanded money.
Police say the cashier immediately opened the cash register drawer and fled from the business.
The suspect also left the business but was later apprehended and taken into custody.
This is an ongoing investigation. No other information has been provided at this time.
