Breezy conditions are expected across the Gulf Coast on Wednesday, with inland winds of 15 to 25 mph and a few passing downpours.
A Small Craft Advisory will be in effect from 7 a.m. Wednesday through 7 p.m. Thursday as winds create choppy conditions offshore.
Rain chances will decrease Thursday through Saturday as a weak front moves across the region, bringing lower dew points and less humid air. High temperatures will remain near 90 degrees, but mornings and evenings should feel noticeably more comfortable.
The weekend forecast depends on the path of a developing upper-level low. The system is not tropical, but it could increase rain chances and produce a few strong to severe storms across Florida from Friday through Sunday
If the low tracks farther west, shower and storm coverage could increase along the central Gulf Coast. If it remains over Florida, weekend rain should stay more spotty and hit-or-miss. Forecast uncertainty remains, so check back for updates.
