The National Hurricane Center is now watching an area of cloudiness that has potential for development as we get to the middle portion of next week.
According to The Hurricane Center, it has a 20% chance for development over the next seven days, but because of where this system is located, it appears that it would be no threat whatsoever to the Gulf coast or New Orleans. If it does become a tropical system, it would be named Fay.
Other than that, the tropics continue to remain quiet.
