The National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado touched down about 2mi west of Hammond in Tangipahoa Parish.
The tornado was rated an EF-0 with 85 mph winds.
“Tornado began in a parking lot on West Thomas Street and traveled south-southwest for around 3 quarters of a mile. Damage was mostly to trees however, minor structural damage did occur. Tornado lifted along Saint Rd.” -National Weather Service New Orleans/Baton Rouge.
The tornado had a max width of 40 yards and a path length of 0.77mi.
