Louisiana State Police are on the scene of a flipped box truck on the Bonnet Carré Spillway.
According to state police, the box truck flipped on Interstate 10 westbound near mile marker 212.
I-10 West is closed on the Bonnet Carré Spillway.
State police say traffic is being diverted to the shoulder.
Congestion has reached seven miles.
This comes as strong storms are moving over the area.
Drivers should avoid the spillway until the scene is clear.
