Extreme Heat Warning Friday for Southeast Louisiana, Mississippi as heat indices could get to 115°

Today is a WDSU First Warning Weather Alert Day because of an Extreme Heat Warning between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.

Highs Friday reach 94-99° but could feel as hot as 115° in some spots.

There are Impact Days in place for the weekend for the possibility we could see more Heat Advisories. highs remain in the mid to upper 90s with high humidity.
