Police are investigating a shooting that killed one person in Thibodaux.
Officers responded shortly before midnight to the 900 block of Church Street, according to police. Police say they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim died despite assistance from emergency medical personnel.
Police did not release the victim’s identity or provide information about a possible suspect or motive.
The investigation remains ongoing.
