New Orleans Saints legend quarterback Drew Brees gave an emotional speech on Saturday at the Pro Football Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony.
Brees was introduced to the stage on Saturday by former New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton.
During his speech, Brees spoke on many of his triumphs throughout his career that led him to this moment.
Brees spoke highly of his time in New Orleans, where he won a Super Bowl.
He also spoke about how special the city is and how the city embraced him and his family.
“New Orleans, you accepted me, you embraced me, you believed in me, but more importantly, you trusted me with the soul of the city, and I would have died to protect that calling,” said Brees.
