New Orleans Fire Department on scene of oil spill in Algiers

The New Orleans Police Department is assisting the New Orleans Fire Department with traffic control for an oil spill that happened on Monday around 1 p.m.

Police say a truck leaked oil onto the roadway of General De Gaulle Drive river bound from Kable Drive to Shirley Drive.

General De Gaulle Drive river bound is currently closed in the affected area.

No other information has been provided at this time.
