The Denver Broncos and head coach Sean Payton are exploring bringing in free agent Taysom Hill, according to the NFL Network.
Senior Reporter Steve Wyche reports, “Broncos head coach Sean Payton told Cynthia Frelund and me today that the Broncos will explore bringing in free agent tight end Taysom Hill, who played for Payton with the Saints.”
On the first day of training camp 2026 Hill announced his time in New Orleans was over., posted on X, saying “I didn’t want my silence to be misinterpreted, and as hard as it is to put into words, I wanted to express my gratitude.”
Hill wrote: “I still don’t have a clear answer about what the future holds, but I know that returning to New Orleans is not in the cards.”
Hill added a message to the city of New Orleans, saying “You exceeded every expectation I had of what it would be like to live and play in a city. The passion, loyalty, and support you showed my family and me over these nine seasons were truly one of a kind. We will always be grateful for the way you embraced us both on and off the field.”
Hill is the only player in the Super Bowl era to record at least 1,000 career yards passing, rushing, and receiving.
