August is kicking off with many events from White Linen Night to Deutsches Haus Weindorf.
Here are four things you can do across New Orleans this weekend.
White Linen Night:
The Warehouse Art District’s 32nd annual White Linen Night is back!
White Linen Night is on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the Downtown Warehouse Art District.
The Warehouse Art District will transform into the largest celebration of contemporary art in New Orleans as galleries, museums, artists, and cultural organizations come together for a community-wide celebration of visual art and culture.
The event is also a fundraiser, and proceeds will support the organization’s year-round efforts to promote the district’s galleries, museums, artists, and creative businesses.
The event is free and open to the public.
Satchmo Summerfest:
The Satchmo SummerFest hosted by the New Orleans Jazz Museum is dedicated to honoring American musical icon, Louis Armstrong.
The Satchmo SummerFest is held at the New Orleans Jazz Museum on 400 Esplanade Avenue starting at 11 a.m.
The celebration will feature music, a culinary lineup, and a lecture series where renowned experts will educate guests on Armstrong’s history and enduring impact
The event is free and open to the public.

Brewtastic Book Fair at Urban South:
One Book One New Orleans Urban South will be hosting its annual book fair and school supply drive on Saturday.
The event is from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 1645 Tchoupitoulas Street.
The book fair benefits Louisiana Books 2 Prisoners, and guests are encouraged to bring a book donation

Deutsches Haus Weindorf:
The Deutsches Haus will host its very own Weindorf or ‘Wine Village”.
The event will take place on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Deutsches Haus NOLA.
Guests can stroll with a wine passport, tasting over 30 wines from around the world, accompanied by culinary treats.
Tickets are $85 for members and $95 for non-members and include a wine Passport, tastings, and a souvenir tasting glass.
