The New Orleans Police Department has arrested a suspect wanted for a deadly shooting in New Orleans East.
Gary Williams faces a second-degree murder charge.
According to investigators, the victim was shot and killed around 5:35 p.m. Monday in the 4900 block of Downman Road.
Around 10:45 a.m. Thursday, members of the U.S. Marshals Service, Louisiana State Police, NOPD VOWS and the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office took Williams into custody at a location in St. James Parish.
He was transported to the St. James Parish jail and is awaiting extradition to Orleans Parish.
