Today is a WDSU First Warning Weather Impact Day as a Heat Advisory is in effect across the area until 7 p.m. Temperatures will feel like 108-110 degrees at times.
Actually highs today reach 93-96 degrees with partly cloudy skies. A few scattered showers and storms are expected this afternoon and evening. Less than half of the area will see rain.
Overnight lows fall to the mid to upper 70s and the 80s.
Temperatures will still be in the low to mid 90s Friday, feeling like the triple digits again. A few scattered showers are possible as well.
Saturday does not look to be that rainy, but a front moves in Sunday and will bring greater rain chances starting first thing in the morning through the afternoon.
We’re looking to start the first week of August in the low 90s with daily afternoon storms.
