NOPD: Double shooting in New Orleans CBD

The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a double shooting that occurred late Saturday night in the Central Business District.

According to police, the shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. on Carondelet Street, near Canal and Bourbon streets.

Officers found a man and a woman who had been shot. Both were taken to the hospital by EMS.

Police said one victim was an innocent bystander.

Police have not released any information about a suspect or a possible motive for the shooting.
