The New Orleans FBI office responded to a suspicious item at its office on the lakefront Thursday.
According to the FBI, a person arrived with a suspicious object at the FBI New Orleans Headquarters.
The person was taken into custody without incident and the object was “rendered safe.”
According to the FBI, the NOPD is handling the investigation.
There is no threat to the public at this time.
WDSU has reached out to the NOPD for more information. At the time of this publication, a response had not been received.
