Galvez Lake Volunteer Fire Department responded to a serious boating accident on Saturday that required a coordinated response from multiple public safety agencies.
Firefighters assisted alongside our mutual aid partners to help secure the scene and establish two landing zones for AirMed helicopters, allowing critically injured patients to be transported quickly for advanced medical care.
The fire department confirmed that children and adults were taken to a local hospital by ambulance.
One adult was flown out to Baton Rouge.
Everyone is in stable condition, according to Galvez Lake Volunteer Fire Department
