The New Orleans Police Department has arrested four people in connection with the deadly shooting of a New Orleans teen in March.
Police arrested Angel Balderon, 19, Bryan Armando Estrada-Hernandez, 19, Jeffrey Mulul, 17, and Andrea Orozco, 17, in connection with the murder of Noe Padilla, 17.
Police say Padilla was with a group that had gotten into a verbal argument with another group. As Padilla’s group got into a car to leave, someone opened fire, shooting Padilla and injuring another.
Both victims were transported to a hospital, where Padilla later died.
Police say that after an extensive investigation spanning multiple parishes and other law enforcement agencies, an arrest warrant was secured for Balderon, Estrada-Hernandez and Mulul.
They are each being charged with one count of second-degree murder and four counts of attempted second-degree murder.
On Tuesday, Orozco was located and arrested after a brief standoff with U.S. Marshals and members of NOPD at a residence in the 3100 block of Bienville Street.
She is being charged with one count of principal to second-degree murder and four counts of principal to attempted second-degree murder.
Police say the investigation revealed that the suspects and additional suspects connected to these individuals have connections to additional crimes of violence in the metropolitan New Orleans area.
This and other investigations are actively under investigation.
No other information has been provided at this time.
