As the rains are beginning to decrease, it’s a bit surprising to see the variance in the Doppler Radar estimated seven-day rainfall totals across the area. Some locations on the North Shore received less than 2 inches of rain, but in the New Orleans metro, it is estimated that more than 7 inches were recorded in a few spots.
With several locations receiving over 4 inches of rain, the ground is likely to stay saturated through the end of the week. However, rain chances look to be decreasing for the rest of this week.
