Post-Tropical Storm Arthur deteriorated Wednesday night into early Thursday morning, but despite losing its tropical strength, its rainbands brought widespread flooding and tornadic weather to Louisiana.
Dozens of Tornado Warnings were issued over the course of five hours.
Areas like the Bayou and River Parishes have seen more than seven inches of rain fall an hour.
In Kenner, widespread street flooding has been reported throughout the city.
A confirmed tornado was reported in New Orleans near City Park.
Centuries-old oak trees have been damaged near the park.
The severe weather is now moving out of the New Orleans Metro area and into the Northshore parishes.
