Today is NOT a WDSU First Warning Weather Impact Day! We’re looking at typical summertime weather! Heat and spotty afternoon pop-up storms will be the theme this week as the sizzle of the summer sets in.
Lows tonight fall to the 70s once again.
Highs for the rest of the week will reach the upper 80s-low 90s!
Rain chances look to stay fairly low throughout the work week, just some usual daytime heating storms through late week.
Now the part to watch: a large dip in the jet stream arrives late weekend into next week, and this pattern could once again crank up the rain machine along our already-soaked central Gulf Coast.
Another stretch of abnormally wet weather looks possible heading into next week, along with cooler than average temperatures as cloud cover and rainfall take over. Nothing locked in just yet, but it’s definitely something to keep an eye on.
