Investigators say on Sunday, May 17, an altercation involving multiple people escalated into gunfire near Berne Avenue and Wilmuth Street.
Shots were fired from a vehicle before another individual returned fire and fled the scene.
Police say witness interviews, surveillance footage, evidence collection, and the execution of multiple search warrants helped them identify the people involved and recover firearms connected to the incident.
Casey Morgan was charged with Accessory After the Fact and Obstruction of Justice.
Both juveniles are being held at the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center pending a 72-hour hearing.
