A Marrero woman has been arrested and accused of Medicaid fraud.
Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit arrested Nedria Paul on May 18.
Paul is facing one count of Medicaid fraud after investigators said she billed Medicaid for services she did not provide.
According to Murrill’s office, from January 2023 to September 2025, Paul submitted false time entries claiming she was providing care as a direct service worker while she was actually working another job during the same hours.
Investigators said records showed Paul left a Medicaid recipient’s home while still clocked in, and during an interview, Murill said she admitted to it.
Paul was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
