A large power outage has been reported in New Orleans on Wednesday afternoon.
According to Entergy New Orleans’ power outage map, the outages are impacting customers in the St. Claude neighborhood, the Seventh Ward, and parts of Tremé.
More than 10,000 customers have been impacted, according to Entergy’s power outage map.
WDSU has reached out Entergy New Orleans to see what the cause of the outage is.
Entergy New Orleans issued the following statement regarding the outage:
“Entergy New Orleans is aware of an outage currently impacting approximately 10,000 customers. Entergy crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore service. Cause is under investigation at this time.”
