The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting involving a teenage boy.
Police say the shooting happened at Bennett Street and Berkley Drive around 9:34 p.m. on Saturday.
According to police, a large group of teens was seen wandering in the area known as the “cut-off”.
One of the individuals from the group began acting erratically and pulled out a gun.
Police say the subject then racked the slide, striking the victim, a 16-year-old boy.
The boy was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
