In it, Expedia says Friday is the new best day to book. They also say Friday is the cheapest day to fly internationally. For a U.S. domestic trip, Expedia says Tuesday is the cheapest day to fly.
However, we also surveyed the American Society of Travel Advisors, and the members who replied didn’t have a magic day to buy, but one did suggest booking 30-45 days out.
They also all recommend using Google Flights, which advisors say has a great price tracking tool that can alert you when fares move up or down.
If you’re still trying to decide on a summer month and can wait just a little bit longer, Expedia says August is the cheapest month to fly.
