The National Weather Service has issued river flood warnings for many areas on the North Shore.
Residents in the area are urged to use caution while walking near riverbanks and turn around when encountering flooded roads.
Tangipahoa Parish:
- Tangipahoa River near Robert
St. Tammany Parish:
- Bogue Falaya River at Camp Covington
- Bogue Falaya River at Boston Street in Covington.
Due to the significant flooding, the city of Covington has closed the park on Sunday until the water subsides.
- Tchefuncte River Near Folsom, including U.S. Highway 190 near Covington
Washington Parish:
Washington Parish is not under any flood advisories or warnings, but many roads are closed due to flooding.
Here are the roads closed:
- Swamp Road
- Cleveland Kennedy Road
- Thigpen RoadJap
- Little Road
- Frank Dillon Road
- Hayes Creek Road
- Max Brumfield Road
- Cumnock Road
