Power outages have been reported across Tangipahoa Parish and Washington Parish due to severe weather on Saturday afternoon.
More than 1,800 residents in Tangipahoa Parish and 100 in Washington Parish are without power due to the thunderstorms and high winds, according to Entergy.
Entergy personnel are working to restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
The estimated time of restoration is 6 p.m., but could change as all damage assessments are completed or if other storm activity results in additional outages.
Cleco is also reporting 268 customers without power.
