Rain or shine, the crowd is out to see the Black Keys perform at Jazz Fest in New Orleans.
The Black Keys, known for their songs “Lonely Boy”, “Wild Child”, and “Gold on the Ceiling,” performed at Jazz Fest despite heavy rain.
Video shows a large crowd at the Gentilly Stage as the rock duo performs “Gold on the Ceiling.”
Festival organizers announced Friday that the performance schedule would change due to the weather.
Lainey Wilson’s performance started at 3:10 p.m. The Black Keys and Ziggy Marley both started at 3:00 p.m.
Forecast:
If you’re heading out to Jazz Fest today, heads up! It will be very rainy, similar to Thursday! Heavy downpours and a lot of lightning is expected. This will impact plans today.
Timing:
- Noon: isolated storms arrive on the coast and move inland.
- 2 p.m.-8 p.m. : storms arrive in New Orleans and will continue to cover the metro and Northshore on and off, heavy at times.
- 8 p.m. – midnight: scattered showers and storms continue
- Midnight to 3 a.m. : main line of storms moves across the entire area from the west
- 3 a.m.-9 a.m. : lingering showers moving out
Rain will come to an end for Saturday morning. Temperatures will be cooler in the 60s and low 70s. Wind gusts will be up to 25 mph.
For Sunday, expect sunny conditions! It will still be cooler or below average with temperatures in the 60s and mid 70s.
