Entergy says the power is back on for thousands of people in and around Marrero after a dump truck hit a power line.
The outage at its peak was impacting roughly 1,800 Entergy customers this evening. Electricity was back on in less than an hour.
This is the second power outage in two days on the Westbank of Jefferson Parish. Yesterday, officials say an excavator struck a power pole and lines near Timberlane and Belle Meade. Thousands were without power for hours as crews made repairs.
